LA Fleet Week, the annual multi-day celebration of our nation’s Sea Services, will take place over the Memorial Day weekend, May 27-30, in San Pedro at the Port of Los Angeles. Professional musicians from Navy Band Southwest and 1st Marine Division Band will provide public performances throughout the Los Angeles area, showcasing a wide variety of genres to entertain audiences of all ages.

About Navy Band Southwest
Navy Band Southwest is one of the Navy’s finest and oldest continuing musical organizations. Now with over 80 years of support to the San Diego Community, the band serves as the musical ambassador for the Commander, Navy Region Southwest. The 45-member organization calls upon its ceremonial band for the majority of its work. The band’s other performing ensembles include the marching band, wind ensemble, SeaBreeze, the band’s reception combo, brass and woodwind quintets, brass band, and the popular music group ensemble, the Destroyers.
About the 1st Marine Division Band
Consisting of approximately 50 Marine musicians, the mission of the 1st Marine Division Band is to provide musical support to the 1st Marine Division as well as other tenant commands aboard Camp Pendleton, the surrounding community, and throughout the United States. The band fulfills numerous musical requirements by performing as a military marching band, wind ensemble, jazz band, popular music group, jazz combo, brass band, woodwind quartet, brass quintet, and saxophone quartet. Overall, the band supports over 400 engagements annually.
